One of Israel’s most promising young pianists, Berenika Glixman is in demand as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe and USA.

An award-winning pianist, Ms Glixman has received many national and international prizes in competitions across Europe and USA including concerto prize, audience prize, best performance for Mozart's sonata and best performance for 21st century piece.  She has also won numerous prestigious awards and prizes in Israel.

Berenika has participated in International Festivals in USA, Spain, Austria, Israel and Germany after which she was invited for debut concerts with the Austin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Michelstadt Philharmonic Orchestra.


She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout Europe and USA such as the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Bulgarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bucharest National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kazakhstan National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra, the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra where the performances were broadcasted on the Italian, German and the Spanish radio and television. She also has had many performances broadcasted on the Israeli radio, "Kol ha Musika".

 

Ms. Glixman has recently completed a project in which she performed a recital comprised entirely of the works of J.S Bach.

She is also a recording artist for the Israeli label, Hed Artzi where she recorded the works of Israeli composer, Ami Maayani.

She has participated in many master classes under the guidance of great musicians and pianists such as Nikolai Petrof, John O’Connor, Daniel Pollack, Antii Siirala, Peter Donohue, Yefim Bronfman, Pnina Zalzman, Tamas Ungar, Daniel Barenboim and Alexander Korsantia, among many others.

Ms. Glixman was born in Tiraspol, Moldova in 1984, immigrated to Israel with her family in 1991 and began her musical studies at the age of 10.

 Among her mentors are Ms. Lily Dorfman, Mr. Daniel Gortler and Prof. Tomer Lev, head of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music.

Since 1997 Berenika has been a recipient of the America - Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships.

She is currently in her final year of her master’s degree at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel-Aviv University, where she also holds her bachelor’s degree with honors.

Among her contracts in the future are the Austin Symphony Orchestra, Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra as well, recitals in Germany and Austria.
